Departure of the Esteemed Jordanian Journalist Nabila AlSlakh A Warm Voice in the Memory of Jordanian Ether

Khaberni - With hearts faithful to God's divine will and decree, the children of Mahmoud Salim Abu Ubaid: Nabeel, Waleed, and Dr. Hasnaa, mourn their mother, the Hajjah journalist Nabila Ahmad Abdul Latif Al-Slakh (Umm Nabeel), widow of the late journalist Nabeel Abu Ubaid, sister of the late Adnan, Marwan, and Bassam, and siblings Fayez, Abdul Latif, Yasser, Haifa, Rabah, Sanaa, and the late Rajaa, who passed to the mercy of God on the evening of Tuesday, 11 / 11 / 2025.
Her pure body will be buried after the Dhuhr prayer on Wednesday, 12 / 11 / 2025, from the mosque of Sahab cemetery to her final resting place in the family grave in Sahab.
Condolences for men and women will be accepted in Al-Nabr Hall on Wednesday and Thursday from four in the afternoon until nine in the evening.

* Who is Nabila Al-Slakh?
In the Jordanian radio scene, Nabila Al-Slakh was one of the most prominent female voices that shaped the sentiment of Jordanian and Arab listeners. Since she joined the Jordanian radio in 1977, she represented a distinctive mark in radio performance, with a voice that combines confidence, warmth, and elegance.

The late Nabila presented many programs that left an everlasting impact on the memories of the listeners, including:
• “With the Sunset”: A Ramadan program embedded in the memories of Jordanians, co-hosted by the late journalist Mahmoud Abu Ubaid.
• “Magazine of the Ether”: A cultural program that addressed issues of thought, art, and literature in an elegant and inspiring manner.
• “A Cup of Coffee”: The morning show that entered every Jordanian home with her warm voice and humane, approachable style.
• “Afternoon Meeting”: A profound dialogue program that exceeded a thousand episodes, blending calm analysis and objectivity.

Nabila Al-Slakh was a symbol of professionalism and humanity, contributing to the training of generations of media professionals, and her voice remained synonymous with the prestige and elegance of the radio.
In 2006, she was honored by the Center of Arab Media Women in appreciation of her pioneering and dedication in serving national media.

With her departure, Jordan loses a beautiful voice from its memory, a face of loyalty to media and humanity, leaving behind a lasting professional and humane legacy in the memory of the ether
