Khaberni - Petra University harvested three awards in the seventh competition for interior design students at Jordanian universities, organized by the Jordanian Interior Design Association "JIDA", amid strong competition that included twenty-nine projects from six universities.
This year's competition theme revolved around designing a tourism project "Study Hub" at Saint George Resort in Fuhais. Winning first place and a cash prize of one thousand dinars was student Lima Abdul-Khaliq, under the supervision of Dr. Mona Al-Ansari.
Winning second place equally, and a cash prize of eight hundred dinars, were the students Zeina Al-Humaimat and Joud Al-Huwayan, under the supervision of Dr. Mayada Al-Hayali. The students Zainab Al-Safi and Rama Hassan also harvested the first honorary award, out of four honorary awards, under the supervision of Dr. Mayada Al-Hayali as well.
The Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Dr. Amer Al-Jokhadar, received a certificate of appreciation for the university's active participation. Dr. Mona Al-Ansari was honored with a commemorative shield and a certificate of appreciation for her student's first-place win, and the supervisors Dr. Mayada Al-Hayali and teacher Suzanne Al-Zeer were also honored with certificates of appreciation for their efforts.
The results announcement ceremony was attended by the Head of the Interior Design Department, Dr. Wasef Al-Momani, and research and teaching assistants Lina Nassar and Majd Al-Bateekhi, along with the participating students.
