100 Million  Jordan and Japan Sign an Agreement to Support the Economic Growth Program

Khaberni - Jordan and Japan signed, on Tuesday, a concessional loan agreement to support the economic growth and human development program worth $100 million, and a grant to enhance national capacities in cybersecurity worth $5 million, along with a memorandum of cooperation in cybersecurity.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the Jordanian side by the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Zaina Toukan.

This occurred on the sidelines of the royal visit to Japan.

His Majesty King Abdullah II, during his meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi in Tokyo today, Tuesday, emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts to expand cooperation between Jordan and Japan in various fields, especially between private sector institutions.

His Majesty congratulated the Japanese Prime Minister on her appointment last October, stressing the keenness to build on the strategic partnership between Jordan and Japan.

His Majesty the King expressed his pride in the historical relations that connect the two countries and the two friendly peoples, which extend for more than 70 years.
