Khaberni - The French Embassy in Cairo honored the Egyptian artist Yousra and awarded her the Legion of Honor in the rank of Knight, in recognition of her contributions to the enrichment of the arts and the dissemination of culture.
The medal was presented by the French Ambassador in Cairo, Eric Chevallier, acknowledging her distinguished artistic career and her ongoing impact on the cultural scene.
The ceremony was held at the embassy, attended by her husband Khaled Selim and several artists and intellectuals, including Elham Shahin, Sherine Reda, Kinda Alloush, Dora, Reham Hajjaj, Mona El-Shazly, Bosy Shalaby, Inas El Degheidy, and Yousri Nasrallah.
The Legion of Honor (Légion d’honneur) is the highest honor bestowed by the French Republic, established by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802 to honor individuals achieving notable accomplishments in culture, sciences, politics, and humanitarian work, and it is awarded to both French and distinguished foreigners for their service to the community and humanity.
