The Jordan Kuwait Bank supports the Farm JO app initiative Feed Them Right to promote healthy nutrition in schools and support

Khaberni - As part of its commitment to supporting community initiatives and sustainable development, the Jordan Kuwait Bank announced its sponsorship of the "Feed Them Right" initiative launched by the Farm Jo app. This initiative aims to enhance the culture of healthy nutrition among students of schools in the Wadi Al-Seer district, and provide meals with natural ingredients that contribute to building a healthier and more aware generation about the importance of healthy food and its impact on society. It also supports local farmers by linking them to the local community through the direct supply of their products to schools.

The initiative was implemented by the team behind the Farm Jo app with the approval and supervision of the Ministry of Education and the Education Directorate of Wadi Al-Seer, where the first phase included distributing natural-source food packages to students at five schools in the district. The packages included selected local varieties of fruits, vegetables, and healthy bakery items, contributing to establishing healthy dietary habits among students, alongside providing interactive educational lectures about the importance of balanced food and its role in improving health and daily activity for children. The initiative also focused on spreading concepts of community and environmental leadership among students, through encouraging them to take care of the environment, plant trees, and reduce food waste.

The Jordan Kuwait Bank's sponsorship of this initiative stems from its social responsibility and belief in the importance of the "Feed Them Right" initiative, which combines two national objectives: enhancing the health of school students and empowering Jordanian farmers. This sponsorship also confirms the bank's leading role in supporting programs that combine health, education, and sustainability, and strengthens its active partnership with national institutions to achieve a long-term community impact.

The initiative distinguished itself by providing educational food boxes designed in an innovative way that includes environmental and educational drawings and activities, encouraging students to think positively and care about agriculture and environmental preservation, transforming the healthy meal into an enjoyable interactive educational experience. The volunteers from the Jordan Kuwait Bank’s "Ambassador of Good" program participated in distributing these boxes to school students.

In this context, the Farm Jo team indicated that the initiative serves as a practical model for the "From Farm to School" concept. The initiative depends on directly connecting Jordanian farmers with the end consumers, which enhances the local economy and provides job opportunities for youth and women in rural communities. The Farm Jo team expressed their appreciation to the Jordan Kuwait Bank for its support of this initiative and its belief in the importance of investing in the future generation from the early school stages, confirming that this cooperation represents a model to be emulated for private sector partnership and implementation of community initiatives.
