Ajloun Municipality Removes 7 Random Stalls and Arbors at the Entrance of Ajloun Castle

Khaberni - Ajloun Greater Municipality, on Tuesday, removed 7 random stalls and arbors that were located at the main entrance of the historic Ajloun Castle, as a step aimed at eliminating the visual distortion caused by these gatherings.

This measure comes at a time when Ajloun Castle, one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the region, is experiencing significant attendance, as it has received over 372,000 visitors from various nationalities since the beginning of the year.

In turn, the acting head of Ajloun Greater Municipality, Mohammed Salem Al-Qudah, confirmed that the existence of these random stalls and arbors at the entrance of the castle constitutes an uncivilized appearance and does not befit the historical value of the site. He noted that the radical solution to the problem involves constructing organized kiosks that are compatible with the nature of the archaeological site.

Al-Qudah emphasized the municipality's commitment to supporting any initiative aimed at preserving the identity and aesthetics of archaeological and tourist sites in the region. The campaign was conducted in cooperation with a joint security force and gendarme forces.
