Zamalek describes Zizous behavior as disrespectful and escalates the crisis

Khaberni - Egyptian media confirmed the escalation of tension between Zamalek Club and its rival Al Ahly following the final of the Egyptian Super Cup for Champions held in UAE.

MBC Egypt 2 reported that after the incident where Ahmed Syed Zizou from Al Ahly ignored shaking hands with Hesham Nasr, the vice president of Zamalek Club, during the award ceremony, an action that caused widespread controversy in the sports circles, the administration of "the White" intends to call for the international player to be brought before the disciplinary committee.
Hesham Nasr spoke on Al Mehwar TV, detailing the incident and his club's stance, saying that what Zizou did was "inappropriate behavior" that does not suit the level of the occasion or the status of the participating clubs.

He added that the Football Association must intervene through the disciplinary committee, stressing that such "minor actions committed by minors", as he put it, must be met with clear penalties so as not to recur.

Nasr explained that the disciplinary committee is obligated to initiate an investigation into the incident on its own without waiting for an official complaint from Zamalek, saying: "If we file a complaint, we will find 100 justifications, but the committee must act independently as the incident is clear to everyone."
Regarding the details of the situation, the vice president of Zamalek confirmed that he did not extend his hand to greet Zizou after he noticed signs of agitation and imbalance in Zizou while ascending to the podium, adding that he later spoke with his friend Khaled Mortagy, the vice president of Al Ahly Club, telling him: "This player has no manners," and added that the surprise was in Mortagy’s response, which was "You are right", before Zizou posted two pictures from the same situation on his social media accounts the next day, which Nasr considered a clear provocation.

Nasr continued, saying: "What's strange is that instead of scolding him, Mortagy uploaded pictures of the same scene, so I said to him 'What are you doing, Khaled? What do you mean? We are much bigger than this, why are you dragging us into this area?'" pointing out that the situation raises questions about the double standards within Al Ahly, especially after Mortagy himself had previously made a big fuss in a similar incident during a volleyball match with a Zamalek player.

The vice president of Zamalek concluded his statements by affirming that the club will not be lenient in defending its dignity and demands an official movement from the disciplinary committee towards the player, adding that the principle of "sportsmanship" cannot be just a nominal slogan.
