Khaberni - The French Embassy in Cairo honored the Egyptian artist Yousra, where she was awarded the Legion of Honor in the rank of Knight, in appreciation of her outstanding contributions to enriching the arts and spreading culture.
This medal is considered the highest cultural honor in France, and is granted to artists and creators who have excelled in artistic or literary fields, or who have contributed to promoting the arts and literature inside and outside France.
The medal was presented to Yousra by the French Ambassador in Cairo, Eric Chevallier, acknowledging her distinguished artistic career and her ongoing impact on the cultural scene.
The award ceremony took place at the French Embassy in Cairo, with the attendance of her husband Khaled Selim, and artists Elham Shahin, Sherine Reda, Kinda Alloush, Dorra, Reham Haggag, and media personalities Mona El-Shazly and Bousi Shelbey, along with director Inas El Dighidy and director Yousry Nasrallah among other artists.
The "Legion of Honor" (Légion d’honneur) is the highest honor presented by the French Republic, established by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802 to honor individuals who achieve notable accomplishments in the fields of culture, sciences, politics, and humanitarian work.
This medal is awarded to both French and foreigners who contribute significantly to the service of humanity and society.
