Khaberni - Polish star Robert Lewandowski is seriously considering retirement if he cannot continue with Barcelona next season, as those close to him affirm that the idea of moving to any other club outside Europe no longer appeals to him.
The account The Touchline on X, quoting the Catalan newspaper Sport, reported that sources close to the player have clarified that Lewandowski and his family are very happy in Barcelona, where they have fully settled since his move to the team in the summer of 2022, and that the idea of leaving for a "strange" or distant league such as the Saudi league, despite the significant financial offers, does not appeal to him at all.
The newspaper explained: "For the Polish striker, family and living considerations are a priority over financial considerations at this stage of his career."
It added: "The 37-year-old striker is considering only two options: to continue with Barcelona until the end of his contract, or to announce his retirement if there is no interesting football offer from a club competing at the highest level."
According to reports, Lewandowski realizes that his place in the starting lineup is no longer as guaranteed as before, and that the club's management is thinking of reducing the salary burden and restructuring the team, yet he has shown full readiness to accept a different role within the group.
Should he continue, the Polish star is prepared to play fewer minutes and take on a secondary role behind younger strikers, focusing on supporting the team with his experience and leadership in the locker room, as this approach reflects the maturity of the player and his desire to end his career at a top club, instead of pursuing lucrative financial contracts outside the continent.
