Khaberni - Since its opening to the public on November 4, the Grand Egyptian Museum has witnessed increasing attendance from both Egyptian and foreign visitors, affirming its status as the largest archaeological and cultural monument globally.

Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, the CEO of the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority, stated that the visitor flow is smooth, with the museum receiving about 17,000 visitors last Sunday who enjoyed a distinguished experience.

In press statements, he added that the average number of visitors since the public opening on November 4 until yesterday is about 19,000 visitors daily, which reflects the great interest in visiting the museum from various groups and nationalities.

Ghoneim pointed out that this increasing global influx reflects the international stature of the Grand Egyptian Museum as a leading cultural and tourist destination, affirming the administration's commitment to providing an exceptional experience for every visitor.

It should be noted that the President of the Republic officially inaugurated the museum on November 1st, amid a global celebration attended by 79 official delegations, including 39 delegations led by kings, princes, and heads of state and government. The museum began welcoming the public on the fourth of the same month, coinciding with the centennial of the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb.
