Khaberni - Real Madrid has revealed details of the injury sustained by Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, after he experienced muscle discomfort during the match against Rayo Vallecano in the previous round of the Spanish league, which raised concerns among the technical staff led by Xabi Alonso.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca", the royal club announced in an official statement that the medical examinations undergone by the player showed an injury in the long adductor muscle of the right leg, indicating that his return to the field would depend on how his condition progresses over the coming days.

Following the results of the examinations, Real Madrid, in agreement with the technical staff of the Belgian national team, decided to exclude Courtois from the national team camp during the upcoming international break, during which they will face matches against Kazakhstan and Liechtenstein, in order to complete his recovery process and avoid any potential setbacks.

The Spanish newspaper also noted that initial estimates confirm that Courtois' absence will extend between 10 and 12 days.

Despite the concern that prevailed after the match against Rayo Vallecano, Real Madrid received reassuring news about the conditions of Courtois and Federico Valverde, as it turned out that their injuries are not a cause for concern, and their presence in the upcoming match against Elche is not at risk.

It is expected that the match against Elche will be Real Madrid's first appearance after the end of the international break, before Real Madrid travels to Greece to face Olympiacos, then to Girona, and finally concluding their series of away matches with a visit to San Mamés Stadium to face Athletic Bilbao, a match which coincides with Santiago Bernabeu Stadium hosting an American football league match between the Dolphins and Commanders.
