Khaberni - US Secretary of War Pete Higseth announced on Monday that six people were killed in two strikes targeting what the US military suspects were two drug smuggling boats, raising the total death toll in the controversial drug enforcement campaign to 76.
Higseth confirmed in a post on the "X" platform that two strikes were carried out on Sunday in international waters in the eastern Pacific Ocean, targeting two boats "carrying drugs" with three persons each on board. He stated: "All six were killed. None of the US forces were harmed."
