Khaberni - Maan Electricity Management/Electricity Distribution Company completed a package of installation, maintenance, and development works that included improving the operational status of the power networks and the installation and operation of power plants in several locations. Additionally, it successfully powered 5 new schools and vital areas in the province with energy.
The company's Executive Manager in Maan, Engineer Abdel Latif Kreishan, stated that, out of the company's commitment to support the educational progress in Maan Province, the electricity supply to the new schools was accelerated. He noted that the implemented works were not limited to schools but also included developmental projects aimed to support public services and reduce technical losses, ensuring the continuity and stability of the electric supply to the subscribers across various areas of the province.
He also mentioned that the works included the installation and operation of 5 new substation plants, each with a capacity of (250 KVA) dedicated to powering 5 new schools in Maan with electrical energy, aiming to secure stable energy supply to the schools and enhance the efficiency of the network in their vicinity, contributing to a safe educational environment.
The works also included the installation of two combined stations, each with a capacity of 1000 (KVA), one aimed to support public services in one of the vital neighborhoods, and the other to serve a new electric vehicle charging station, in addition to upgrading an existing public station in Husseiniya area from 100 to (250 KVA).
Kreishan explained that the crews of Maan Electricity Distribution, in cooperation with Wadi Musa Electricity crews, carried out maintenance works and electrified a new station on one of the main feeders in the province as part of a scheduled plan aimed at upgrading networks and enhancing their efficiency in preparation for the winter season.
He referred to the works including a scheduled outage on Wadi Musa feeder during which a new combined public station with a capacity of (1000 KVA - 33 KV) was installed and electrified in the Azraq Road area, in addition to installing 6 new general low-pressure feeders to enhance network efficiency and load distribution, and conducting comprehensive maintenance of the main feeder which included trimming trees close to the medium pressure network, along with reinstalling the network’s pole stay wires to enhance their durability and stability.
