Khaberni - The Grand Criminal Court rendered a decision imposing temporary hard labor on a young man in his twenties for a period of five years, after convicting him of the felony of indecency, following a complaint filed by a girl of Arab nationality whom he met about two weeks ago.
According to the journalist Ghazi Almarayat, the relationship between the young man and the girl started just 15 days ago and included meetings in cafes and restaurants with no notable transgressions. However, during a meeting in a deserted area, the young man reached out and touched her body inappropriately, which led her to scream and angrily leave the vehicle, subsequently leading to an altercation between them that escalated into a physical assault.
The following day, the girl filed a complaint with the Family Protection Department, where the case was referred to the public prosecutor who charged him with indecency, and after completing the investigations, the court issued its verdict convicting him and sentencing him to temporary hard labor for five years.
