Student victim of bullying blows up his school causing 96 injuries

Khaberni - The number of injured from the explosion, which occurred in a building of one of the schools in the Indonesian capital Jakarta, has risen from 54 to 96 people, according to what the Jakarta police announced today, Monday.

Budi Hermanto, head of public relations at Jakarta police, said: "According to the latest data, 96 people were injured, 29 of whom were taken to the hospital."

Initial information indicated that one of the students, who had been subjected to bullying by his peers, was suspected to have carried out the explosion. The police found an unidentified powder in his home, which is currently under examination by investigators, while the suspect remains in intensive care.

The Indonesian President, Prabowo Subianto, pointed out that the incident could be related to the impact of violent video games on children.

On November 7th, an explosion occurred at the high school mosque No. 72. According to eyewitnesses, the explosion happened during prayer. The Indonesian authorities have not yet announced any fatalities, while the security forces continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident and also consider the possibility that it was a terrorist act, although the police have not yet found evidence to confirm this possibility.
