Khaberni - Social security and insurance expert Musa Al-Subeihi said that the decision to terminate the services of a distinguished school principal in Irbid Castle and to refer her to early retirement, despite her impeccable professional record and educational achievements, raises broad question marks about the standards of justice and transparency in administrative decisions. Al-Subeihi noted that the principal, Ria Fayyad, who last year won the Queen Rania Al Abdullah Award for Distinguished Manager and the title "Ambassador of Excellence," was surprised by a "secret" letter that ended her educational career spanning over 25 years without any formal investigation, despite her file being free of any penalty or warning, emphasizing that such decisions undermine the spirit of excellence in the public sector and send negative messages to the creative and dedicated in their work.
Musa Al-Subeihi wrote the following:
Winner of the Queen Rania Award for Distinguished School Principal;
The termination of the career of a distinguished "educational" principal and her referral for early retirement. !
An alleged secret letter terminated the services of a distinguished school principal in Irbid Castle, despite her spotless record for (25) years during which she achieved excellence in annual periodic evaluation, and last year she won the Queen Rania Award for Distinguished Manager.
Is it reasonable that her services were terminated in this sudden manner under the claim of a "secret letter" without forming an investigation committee by the Ministry of Education to verify what was written in that "secret" book? !
Ria Fayyad, a distinguished school principal, is recognized for her active service in the educational field and her remarkable achievements,
which were crowned by winning the Queen Rania Al Abdullah Award for Distinguished Manager for the year 2024 and gaining the title "Ambassador of Excellence," an award that requires the applicant to demonstrate the highest levels of discipline, accuracy, achievement, creativity, and efficiency, and that their file be free of any penalties or even mistakes for five previous years to be accepted for competition on it, and thousands of school principals apply for it annually, it is every teacher's dream.
Ria, who was surprised by the decision to terminate her services as of 31-10-2025 and refer her to early retirement, holds the rank of "educational expert" and has many success stories and initiatives, as well as participated in many local and international conferences related to her work, and her employment file is filled with letters of thanks and praise from directors of education and managers of government departments and various local community institutions. Her file is also free of any penalty or warning or notification, and all her annual evaluation reports are excellent.
Doesn't Ria, the distinguished manager, not to mention "Ambassador of Excellence," have the right to know the reasons for her referral while she is at the peak of her contribution and excellence and passionate about her work? !
What message does the Ministry of Education want to send to its distinguished educational and teaching staff if this is the fate of the distinguished or excellent? !
And what kind of public sector development is the government talking about if we are brandishing the sword of early retirement at the necks of the distinguished employees of the public sector..? !
And how can the minister make such a decision without verifying and clarifying the truth, and without basing it on clear, fair, and transparent foundations? !
I have requested numerous times that the government should set clear and fair foundations to be relied upon by officials when making any decision related to the early retirement of any employee without their request, but unfortunately, there is still injustice inflicted on many as a result of such decisions, some of which may be arbitrary and rash.
