Khaberni - A comparative study conducted by the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply on the prices of (90) food items showed a decline and stability in about (92%) of the essential materials included in the study for October 2025 compared to the preceding month, September.
According to the study and physical inspection of markets, shops, and malls, it was found that the prices of (30) goods, including broiler chickens, fresh chicken, some meats, vegetables, and fruits, had decreased by rates ranging between (2% like local veal meats and 32% like imported lemons)

Prices of (53) goods also remained stable, most notably sugar, rice, oils, dairy products, and cheeses.
Based on the study's findings, there were price increases in (7) goods, including table eggs and certain types of vegetables, with varying rates ranging between (4% like eggs and 12% like garlic)
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply, Yinal Barmawi, stated that the ministry continuously monitors local price changes and identifies any increases or decreases occurring and their relation to global market events, as Jordan imports a large part of its food needs, though there is sufficiency in some products.
He added that food material prices are expected to decline further in the coming period, especially for vegetables and fruits, due to local production and a decline in global prices and stable maritime shipping.
He mentioned that some goods, such as chicken, have seen significant price reductions compared to their levels in recent years.
