Khaberni - American police arrested the famous singer Rod Wave, following an incident at his private home in Milton, Georgia, on the same day he received his first Grammy nomination.
According to reports, a shooting incident occurred inside Rod Wave's house following a previous burglary. The singer fired several shots inside the house, damaging some cars and the house wall, but no injuries were reported among those present.
During the investigation, drugs and a weapon were found in possession of the famous rapper and songwriter, leading to four formal charges against him, including possession of a weapon and drugs.
On the same day as the arrest, Rod Wave received his first Grammy nomination in the category "Best Song Written for Visual Media" for his song Sinners, which is the main song from a horror movie of the same name.
Rod Wave was registered in the Fulton County Jail records and was released the following day, Saturday, November 8, after posting a $8,000 bail.
It should be noted that this is not the first arrest for Rod Wave this year; he was previously arrested in May after an April burglary incident, during which he fired shots inside his house. In that incident, Rod surrendered himself to authorities under arrest warrants issued at that time.
He was also arrested in Florida in 2024 on suspicion of involvement in a gang-related shooting incident, and in 2022 he was accused of strangling his ex-girlfriend while their children were present, but the charges were later dropped.
Artistically, Rod Wave is one of the most successful international rap artists, earning $36 million from 31 shows during his tours. He gained fame in 2019 with his song Heart on Ice, which became popular on TikTok, while his seven albums reached the Top 10 in Billboard 200 consecutively from 2019 to 2024.
