Khaberni - The UAE topped the ninth position globally in the latest edition of the Global Digital Competitiveness Report 2025, issued by the International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland, after being in the eighteenth position in the first edition in 2017.
The report showed that the UAE achieved advanced results in the main axes of digital competitiveness, as it recorded the fifth position globally in the Future Readiness axis due to the adoption of emerging technologies and the development of advanced digital systems, and it also ranked sixth globally in the Technology axis as a result of digital infrastructure and expanding investments in advanced technology and digital government services.
According to the Emirates News Agency, the UAE achieved first place globally in quality indicators such as the proliferation of internet use, expansion of high-speed communication networks, availability of venture capital, efficiency of public-private partnerships, and advancement in digital skills.
Alongside leading globally in attracting international students and the availability of global expertise. The state ranked among the top five globally in fifteen indicators, and within the top ten in twenty-two indicators, reflecting the depth of digital development and its inclusiveness in sectors.
In addition to achieving the twelfth position globally in the Knowledge axis as a result of national programs aimed at developing scientific skills and capacities and supporting specialized education in future fields.
