Khaberni - The Secretary General for the Ministry of Education for Vocational Education, Mohammed Gaith, said on Sunday that by 2032, approximately 100,000 job opportunities should be provided through vocational and technical education.
Gaith added that by 2032, the enrollment rate of students in the vocational and technical education branch (BTEC) must be increased to 50%, expanding the number of specializations and their diversity to meet the labor market's needs for skilled and qualified competencies, according to the kingdom.
He noted that the ministry has taken a series of measures aimed at developing this vital sector and will continue to implement them as part of a clear and well-studied plan, as it is currently working on developing the system by expanding the number of schools and specializations.
Gaith affirmed that the ministry places utmost importance on vocational education across its various specializations, considering it a national strategic project.
