Al-Ahliyya Amman University, represented by its President Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, signed two research cooperation agreements with the Higher Council for Science and Technology, in the presence of the Dean of Scientific Research Professor Dr. Ahmad Abu-El-Haija Al-Adwan, to implement two pioneering research projects aimed at supporting and developing the agricultural and environmental sectors in Jordan, in partnership with PAS – Plant Abiotic Stress Research Group. This agreement comes within the framework of the university's commitment to enhancing applied scientific research that contributes to sustainable development and keeps pace with national priorities in the fields of food security and environmental protection..

  • First Project: Developing Drought-Resistant Watermelon Strains

The first project, led by Dr. Lina Walid Al-Qadoumi from the College of Agricultural Technology, is titled:

""Selection of Watermelon Hybrids from Introgression with Hanthal Citrullus colocynthis and Productivity Assessment under Water Stress Conditions"
