Khaberni - Stemming from Arabian Oman University's commitment to integrating theoretical education with practical application and the preparation of a legally knowledgeable generation, aware of the responsibilities of justice, the Law Department at the Faculty of Law organized a scientific field visit to the Major Criminal Court; this forms part of the faculty's plan aimed at connecting students with the realistic legal environment and enhancing their practical skills.
The students of Arabian Oman University were received by Judge Ahmad Al-Qatarna, President of the Major Criminal Court, who expressed his welcoming of the students, reaffirming the importance of the judiciary's openness to academic institutions to foster a qualified and competent generation of legal experts. Judge Al-Qatarna provided a detailed legal presentation, addressing the competency of the court, the types of cases it handles, and the operational mechanisms and procedural steps in the stages of investigation and trial according to the criminal procedure law, citing real-life instances from various cases the court deals with.
