Khaberni - Jordan's Minister of the Environment, Ayman Sulaiman, held a bilateral meeting with the acting Director of the United Nations Development Programme, Haoliang Xu, on the sidelines of the 30th Conference of the Parties on Climate Change (COP30) in the city of Belém, Brazil.

The meeting discussed Jordan's participation in projects resulting from the "Rome Actions" initiative, led by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), alongside the United Arab Emirates and Italy, aiming to enhance climate action and sustainable energy, and to support stability and development in the Mediterranean, Middle East, and Africa.

Sulaiman emphasized Jordan's keenness on active participation in the initiative, noting that this cooperation is a continuation of the “Climate and Refugees” initiative launched by His Majesty King Abdullah II during the COP27 conference.
