Khaberni - The Kuwaiti authorities announced the revocation of citizenship from seven nationals by a decision of the Council of Ministers based on Article (21 repeated A) of the Passport and Nationality Law.
According to the resolution, citizenship will be revoked not only from the seven individuals, but also from those who acquired it through their association. This measure is in application of the legal text that stipulates the revocation of citizenship if it is found to have been granted falsely based on fraud, false statements, or incorrect documents.
In a related context, the High Commission for Nationality Investigations decided on the loss of citizenship of an eighth woman, based on Article (11) of the same law, which states that a Kuwaiti loses his citizenship if he voluntarily acquires another foreign nationality.
With these decisions, the total number of people affected by the decisions of revocation and loss of citizenship is eight, in the framework of the application of the provisions of the Kuwaiti nationality law.
