Khaberni - The Greater Amman Municipality continues its campaign to remove concrete barriers and obstacles that encroach on the sidewalks and streets, within its plans to facilitate traffic movement and enhance traffic fluidity.
The spokesperson for the municipality, Nasser Al-Rahamneh, said that the field teams have removed 9050 barriers of various types that were obstructing traffic flow since the start of the campaign, according to Al-Mamlaka.
Al-Rahamneh explained that the teams have removed 1370 concrete barriers since the start of the campaign, noting that the process requires time to remove the barriers and send them to special landfills.
The municipality confirmed that the campaign will continue until all obstacles and barriers on the main and subsidiary streets and sidewalks are removed.
Through this campaign, the municipality aims to increase the capacity of the streets, reduce traffic congestion, and preserve the city's aesthetics, in addition to reusing sidewalks and public spaces, facilitating pedestrian movement, and maintaining public safety.
