Khaberni - National team boxer, Hussein Ishaish, succeeded on Saturday in winning his first bout and secured a medal in the sixth Islamic Solidarity Games hosted by Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
Hussein Ishaish managed to win against the Saudi player Mohammad Al-Subhi by referee stoppage in the second round, during the quarter-final match in the 80 kg category.
With this victory, Hussein Ishaish qualified for the semi-final round, securing a medal where he will meet tomorrow the Azerbaijani player Saeed Jamshid Jafarov.
Tomorrow, player Ziad Ishaish will also compete in the semi-final round in the 70 kg category.
It is worth mentioning that the boxing competitions have reappeared in the Islamic Solidarity Games after being included in the Baku edition in 2017, where our national team secured three bronze medals then, achieved by Mohammad Al-Wadi, Obada Al-Kesbeh, and Hussein Ishaish.
