Khaberni - Haitham Hegazi, the former head of the Civil Service Bureau and former Secretary General of the Prime Minister’s Office, said that the recent appointments in Jordanian television are a clear violation of the human resources system in force, and a regression from the public sector modernization project.
He added in a post on his Facebook page that it would have been appropriate to announce the need for television to fill these positions, and if no one applied, or if the required proficiency was not found among the applicants, then it could resort to recruiting in the manner that was done.
Hegazi wondered, what are the proficiency standards that Jordanian television relied on when attracting new employees? And is it conceivable that among all the university graduates from various disciplines, there is no one who has those required competencies?
He said that the regulatory authorities, led by the Service Authority, should intervene to cancel those appointments, and set things right so that trust in the public sector modernization program does not disappear.
