Khaberni - The activist and writer in the occupying entity, Noa Chibbi, publicly invited the newly elected Mayor of New York, Zahran Mamdani, to visit Tel Aviv.
This initiative is in response to Mamdani's well-known positions supporting the Palestinian cause.
Chibbi stated in her remarks: I want to extend an invitation to Zahran Mamdani to come and visit Israel. We want to show him the real Israel.
She explained that the planned tour would include visits to areas around the Gaza envelope, including the Youth Area in Kfar Aza and the Nova Festival site.
She also added that the program will introduce the 20% of Arab Palestinian citizens inside Israel, whom she described as enjoying equal rights.
At the same time, Chibbi criticized Mamdani's views and considered his image of Israel a fabricated invention that he has never visited, accusing him of calling for a reduction of the Jewish identity of the state.
This exchange comes amidst ongoing tensions around international stances concerning Israeli occupation policies towards Palestinians, amid global media attention to the mutual responses between political figures and activists.
