Kuwaiti plane bound for the Philippines involved in accident

Khaberni - The official spokesperson for the General Administration of Civil Aviation in Kuwait, Abdullah Al-Rajhi, stated that this morning at 4:24 AM, a Kuwait Airways plane bound for the Philippines, flight number (KU417), with 284 passengers on board, experienced a minor incident at Kuwait International Airport before departure.

Al-Rajhi explained that the incident was due to a sudden technical malfunction in the brake system during the plane's movement, confirming that the incident did not result in any injuries among the passengers or crew, and that all passengers are well and in good health, with only minor damages to the aircraft's body.

He added that the specialized technical authorities promptly dealt with the situation according to approved procedures, securing the aircraft's site and conducting necessary technical inspections to ensure operational safety.

A substitute flight was also arranged and departed at 12:20 PM towards its destination.

The official spokesperson reaffirmed that the safety of passengers and air crews is a top priority for Civil Aviation and Kuwait Airways, and that such cases are handled with the highest standards of air safety.
