In his moving speech following the honor, the artist Munther Rayahnah said:

"When you are aware of the magnitude of this honor, you are at a loss for words, so you resort to artificial intelligence which in turn is unable to describe this feeling, so you find refuge only in the history of this great country... And when we read about the history of Algeria, we stand tall."

The ceremony also honored a number of stars from the Arab world alongside Rayahnah, including the late artist Yasser Al Masri, and Sayed Ahmed Aghoumi, in recognition of their contributions and careers in the world of art.
