Khaberni - His Majesty King Abdullah II begins today, Saturday, a visit to Japan at the start of an Asian business tour that also includes Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, and Pakistan.
The royal tour aims to strengthen cooperation between Jordan and these countries and to enhance partnerships, especially in the economic and investment fields.
In Tokyo, His Majesty will meet with His Majesty Emperor Naruhito of Japan, Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, and various Japanese ministers and officials.
His Majesty the King will meet with representatives from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Japan External Trade Organization, and Japanese companies.
In the Vietnamese capital Hanoi, His Majesty will have discussions with Vietnamese President Luong Kong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and a number of senior officials.
His Majesty the King will attend part of the Jordanian-Vietnamese business forum, with participation from representatives of the private sector in both countries, and a dialogue session to discuss establishing a partnership in the apparel sector.
His Majesty will have meetings in Singapore with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.
In Jakarta, His Majesty the King will hold talks with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, and meet with representatives from the Indonesian Sovereign Wealth Fund.
His Majesty will conclude his tour in Pakistan, after meeting with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif.
It is scheduled that Jordan will sign cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding in several fields with Japan, Indonesia, and Pakistan on the sidelines of His Majesty the King's meetings during the tour.
