Lebanese Man Plots Against His Iraqi ExWife Kuwaiti Authorities Thwart It

Khaberni - The General Department for Drug Control in Kuwait succeeded in saving an Iraqi resident from falling into a criminal trap plotted by her ex-husband, who holds Lebanese nationality and has been deported from the country, after he attempted to plant drugs called "Lyrica" in her car, aiming to frame her and get her imprisoned.

The Iraqi resident arrived at the Al-Abdali port, where the customs officers suspected her car after sniffer dogs detected the presence of prohibited substances, according to "Al-Majlis" page on "X".

After inspecting the spare tyre of the car, they found a quantity of "Lyrica" pills amounting to about 8000 pills, and the woman confirmed during the investigations that she was unaware of what her car contained, indicating that her Lebanese husband had asked for the car keys while she was in Iraq, under the pretext of carrying out some maintenance, then he secretly placed the drugs in the tyre without her knowledge.

The General Department for Drug Control in Kuwait continued to coordinate with its counterpart in Iraq to summon the Lebanese accused, who confessed after the investigation that he had placed the drugs in the car, with the intent to enable his partner residing in Kuwait to track the car, and steal the tire to distribute the drugs for his benefit.

The other Lebanese was also arrested and confronted with his partner's statements, admitting to the details, leading to all the accused being referred to the prosecution, while the Iraqi woman was acquitted of any charges.

In related context, it is essential to be cautious and careful when leaving vehicles with anyone, especially when traveling abroad, to avoid any attempts of planting prohibited substances that could lead to legal accountability.
