Khaberni - The Jordanian/Congo1 Vertical Takeoff Unit, operating as part of the stability support mission (MONUSCO) in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, passed its final combat readiness inspection on the mission ground today, Thursday, under the supervision of specialized inspectors from the mission leadership, achieving outstanding results in performance and readiness.
The inspectors praised the operational and logistical readiness of the unit by inspecting its facilities and equipment, affirming its excellence and the commitment of its personnel to execute the mission's requirements in a manner that ensures the humanitarian duty entrusted to it is performed optimally.
It should be noted that the Jordanian/Congo1 Vertical Takeoff Unit represents the first participation of this kind in the history of the Jordanian Armed Forces joining international peacekeeping forces, and it is the first regionally in terms of the nature of its missions, supporting the message of peace and security within the stability support mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
