Khaberni - Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov warned that NATO countries are preparing for a major confrontation with Russia using the regime in Kyiv.
Azarov wrote on his 'Telegram' channel: "By 2030, (NATO) plans to fully rearm itself, allocating immense resources equivalent to Ukraine's annual budget for this purpose. Who will (NATO) employ as a tool, one may ask? Of course, Ukraine! Ukrainians will be forced to fight again! There is an expectation that Ukrainian human resources will be sufficient until 2030 to wage another war with Russia."
The former Prime Minister emphasized that NATO aims to "destroy the Russian state" by "weakening the Russian economy with sanctions and reducing its combat capabilities" over the next four years. However, he stated that these plans are "based on shaky foundations."
In recent years, Russia has expressed concern about NATO's unprecedented activity near its western borders, where the alliance is increasing its forces and describes this as a "deterrent to aggression."
The Kremlin stressed that Moscow does not threaten anyone, but will not overlook actions that pose a potential risk to its interests.
For his part, Russian President Vladimir Putin clarified that Russia does not intend to attack NATO countries, but Western politicians scare their populations with the alleged Russian threat to divert attention from internal problems.
