Khaberni - The Minister of Local Administration, Engineer Walid Al-Masri, today, Thursday, inspected a number of municipalities in Irbid Governorate in the districts of North Al-Mazar and Bani Kinana, including the municipalities of North Al-Mazar, Khalid bin Al-Walid, and Al-Sha'la, to assess the level of services provided to the citizens and the municipalities' readiness for the winter season.
During the tour, the minister met with the heads of municipal committees and several employees, and listened to a briefing on the progress of work and ongoing projects, and the financial and administrative procedures followed in the municipalities, as well as the challenges faced, alongside the most pressing needs required to enhance their performance and improve the services provided.
Al-Masri also conducted field tours in several areas belonging to these municipalities, during which he inspected ongoing maintenance works, rainwater drainage networks, cleaning of stream channels, and the general cleanliness level in the streets and service facilities, as part of the plans for preparedness for the winter season.
The minister emphasized the importance of the municipalities continuing to enhance their readiness and strengthen the capabilities of their technical and administrative staff, stressing the necessity to improve the work environment and enhance the efficiency of municipal services, which positively reflects on the comfort of the citizens and the quality of their lives.
