Khaberni - The misdemeanor court of Dokki in Egypt ruled today, Thursday, to imprison the artist Mohamed Ramadan for two years, on charges of broadcasting and displaying his song "Number One, Ya Ansaaf" on his official YouTube channel without obtaining the necessary legal permits.

The case, number 9213 for the year 2025, dates back to the artist broadcasting an audiovisual artistic work without a license from the Ministry of Culture, in clear violation of the laws protecting intellectual property rights and artistic works, which require obtaining prior permission before publishing or displaying any artistic work to the public.

After referring the incident to the public prosecutor, the investigations commenced and concluded with the referral of the accused for trial before the misdemeanor court.

The court based its judgment on the proven charge with technical evidence and documents, and decided to imprison Mohamed Ramadan for two years, obliging him to pay the costs, in execution of the laws regulating creative rights and intellectual property.
