Jordan Launch of the Unified Generations Platform for ELearning

Khaberni - The Ministries of Education and Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship launched on Thursday the unified national platform for managing educational information and e-learning, the "Generations" platform, which is one of the most prominent projects in the digital transformation of the education sector, through the development and activation of a smart national platform for managing educational information and digital content.

The launch of the platform is a new step in the digital transformation journey in the Kingdom, within the royal vision of employing technology to serve humanity, enhance its efficiency and knowledge, build a modern digital economy, and provide education that meets the requirements of the era and prepares students for a future based on knowledge and innovation.

The Minister of Education, Azmi Mahafzah, confirmed that the platform resulted from constructive cooperation between the two ministries to translate the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II in digitizing the education sector, and that this cooperation expressed the spirit of integration between the state institutions in building a digital infrastructure that supports the transition from traditional education to technology-based education and data and knowledge.

He emphasized that the "Generations" platform is a qualitative leap towards the digital future of education, as it is a platform that employs educational technology to provide interactive, personalized, and need-based learning. It also provides teachers with planning, evaluation, and tracking tools based on data and smart analytics, in addition to enhancing the production of national digital content and making it accessible in an organized, safe, and easy manner, and forming a sustainable educational environment, capable of development, and prepared to integrate artificial intelligence technologies in the near future.

In turn, the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Samirat confirmed that the ministry is working on enabling ministries and government institutions to improve their services and develop sustainable digital solutions, which enhance efficiency, simplify procedures, and open the horizons of creativity and innovation.

He pointed out that the partnership with the Ministry of Education is one of the most important models of national partnership, given the direct impact of education in shaping consciousness and building capabilities, as investing in digital transformation within schools and educational environments is not a choice, but a necessity to ensure the competitiveness of students in a rapidly changing world.

For his part, Monib Rashid, Director of Queen Rania Abdullah Center for Information Technology, explained that the "Generations" platform provides students, teachers, and administrative staff with an integrated digital educational environment, and enables parents to follow their children's educational journey easily and safely through the "Sind" application or directly through the platform.

He noted that more than 2000 schools and directorates of education have been connected to fiber-optic networks to provide safe and fast government communication, and data centers have been updated to host educational platforms. Additionally, an agreement was signed to provide wireless connection services (Wi-Fi) in 1500 schools across all governorates, enabling students and teachers to use tablets and connect to the internet inside classrooms, with implementation beginning early 2026.

In the aspect of automating services, Rashid mentioned that the Ministry of Digital Economy is working on automating a group of essential services for the Ministry of Education, amounting to about 75 electronic services including a fundamental component of electronic payment, which contributes to simplifying procedures, speeding up transaction completion, and facilitating electronic access. Also, specialized programs in programming, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity have been implemented, benefiting more than 5,000 trainees from students and teachers.

He added that the digital skills curriculum for grades 1 through 12 has been launched in all schools across the Kingdom and has been officially adopted, with the completion of training supervisors and teachers on its application in various governorates. "Projeto Seraj," an intelligent assistant based on artificial intelligence technologies, is being implemented to assist school students in studying and excelling through an interactive educational experience based on official curricula, and connecting information from various subjects to facilitate deep understanding of the educational content.

On his part, Zaid Thabesem, the CEO of Business Development for the Integrated Technology Group (ITG), emphasized the importance of this national project, which aligns with the goals of the Economic Modernization Vision that emphasized the importance of employing modern technologies to serve vital sectors including the education sector, noting that the project reflects a true partnership model between the public and private sectors in cooperation with the Ministries of Education and Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship.
