The spokesperson of the Israeli Occupation Army for the Arabic media, Avichay Adraee, announced this attack, after urgent warnings issued by the Israeli army to several towns in south Lebanon.

An "urgent warning to the residents of South Lebanon" stated that the Israeli army will soon attack "Hezbollah's military infrastructure" in various parts of South Lebanon, "to deal with Hezbollah's prohibited attempts to rebuild its activities in the area".

Residents of the buildings marked in red on the maps provided and the adjacent buildings in the villages of: Taybeh, Tir Dibba, and Aita al-Jabal (Zott).

The Israeli Army addressed the residents by saying: "You are near buildings used by Hezbollah and for your safety, you are required to evacuate them immediately and stay away at least 500 meters," adding: "Staying in the area of the specified buildings exposes you to danger".

The Israeli army stated in a subsequent statement: "Following the warnings we issued a while ago, we clarify contrary to some rumors circulating that we only urge the residents of the buildings specified on the maps and those adjacent to them to evacuate them," continuing: "We did not issue any statement about a broad evacuation of villages in South Lebanon. We reiterate that official statements are published here".
