Khaberni - A simple dispute over a breakfast order at a McDonald's branch in Michigan turned into a violent assault when an angry woman threw hot coffee at the restaurant employee, causing minor burns. The police then launched a search for the assailant after identifying her.
The incident occurred on November 4, 2025, after a woman claimed she had waited for an hour to get her order which was automatically cancelled via the app due to the end of the breakfast time.
According to a video captured by a customer and shared on social media, the woman entered the restaurant while on a call with customer service, demanding a refund and an official apology. After a lengthy discussion, the manager explained what had happened and offered her a cup of coffee, confirming that the order value would be refunded within 48 hours.
However, the situation escalated when the manager turned to leave, causing the woman to throw the hot coffee at her saying: "This coffee is hot," splashing the coffee on the manager's back and arm, making her scream in pain.
The Buena Vista police posted the video on their Facebook page, asking the public for help in identifying the assailant. Within minutes, several followers were able to recognize her as a 48-year-old woman.
The police also referred the case file to the Saginaw County Prosecutor's Office, recommending an arrest warrant be issued for felony assault, a crime that could result in several years of imprisonment.
