Khaberni - King Abdullah II begins on Saturday a visit to Japan at the start of an Asian work tour that also includes Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, and Pakistan.
The royal tour aims to strengthen cooperation between Jordan and these countries and enhance partnerships, particularly in economic and investment fields.
In Tokyo, His Majesty will meet with His Majesty Emperor Naruhito of Japan, Prime Minister Sanai Takaichi, and Japanese ministers and officials.
His Majesty the King will meet with representatives from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Japan External Trade Organization, and Japanese companies.
In the Vietnamese capital Hanoi, His Majesty will conduct talks with Vietnamese President Luong Cong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and several senior officials.
His Majesty the King will attend part of the Jordanian-Vietnamese business forum, with representatives from the private sectors of both countries, and a dialog session to discuss establishing a partnership in the garment sector.
In Singapore, His Majesty will have meetings with the Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.
In Jakarta, His Majesty the King will hold talks with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and meet representatives from the Indonesian Sovereign Wealth Fund.
His Majesty concludes his tour in Pakistan, after meeting Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
It is planned that Jordan, along with Japan, Indonesia, and Pakistan, on the sidelines of His Majesty's meetings during the tour, will sign cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding in various fields.
