SAR 216 billion in private investments to enhance culture and entertainment in Saudi Arabia

Khaberni - In a scene reflecting the profound transformation experienced by Saudi Arabia as part of its Vision 2030, the CEO of the Quality of Life Program in Saudi Arabia, Khaled Al-Bakr revealed to "Arabiya.net" that the program has opened new pathways for the private sector investments and partnerships in the country to ensure a diversity of offerings and the economic viability of culture and entertainment.

He pointed out that "Quality of Life" in 2024 spurred non-governmental investment value to reach about SAR 21.6 billion (over 5 billion dollars) across various sectors, noting that most of these investments are connected with opportunities in culture, and entertainment.
Since the launch of the Quality of Life Program in 2018, which achieves the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 by building vibrant and livable communities, enhancing the kingdom's position among the most attractive destinations in the world, it has been able to prepare the regulatory environment to issue and activate systems that attract private sector investments.

The Quality of Life Program achieves 10 strategic objectives assigned to it from Vision 2030 with: 6 different sectors to implement more than 173 initiatives in the sectors of tourism, culture and heritage, sports, entertainment, urban design, and the security sector, to improve the daily life of citizens and residents, in addition to ensuring the implementation of the initiatives themselves.

The Quality of Life Program measures 42 performance indicators, tracks the impact of participation rates and satisfaction levels, and global indicators, as it achieved about 102% of its targeted contribution to the gross domestic product, with a contribution exceeding SAR 74 billion (20 billion dollars) to the economy of the kingdom, according to Al-Bakr.
