A Qualitative Leap in Jordanian Taekwondo Olympic and World Ranking

Khaberni - The Olympic and world rankings, issued by the International Federation for this month, have marked a significant leap for the national team players following their recent participation in the Australian Championship and the World Championship (14-star caliber).
National team player Mahmoud Altarayrah advanced 20 places in the Olympic ranking for the under 68 kg category to now be ranked ninth after achieving a bronze medal at the World Championship (14-star caliber) held in China, scoring 96.98 points. He also jumped 28 places in the world ranking for under 63 kg, reaching eighth place with 73.96 points, while he dropped 8 places in the same weight category in the world ranking to the 62nd place with 23.2 points, according to Al-Ghad.
In the Olympic ranking for under 68 kg, Altarayrah surpassed national team player Zaid Mustafa, the silver medalist at the Paris 2024 Olympics, who now ranks thirteenth, increasing his score to 90.82 points and dropped in the world ranking to the seventeenth place with 62.91 points.
National team player Zaid Al-Halawani advanced two places in the Olympic ranking for under 68 kg, now ranked twenty-fifth with 68.91 points, and also moved up two places in the world ranking to rank nineteenth with 62.91 points.
Saleh Al-Sharabati, the national team player and silver medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, made a significant jump in the Olympic ranking under 80 kg, moving up 14 places to rank nineteenth with 72.21 points. He dropped 20 places in the world ranking for the same weight category to 118th place with 9.57 points, while in the same category, national team player Mohammad Al-Adarbeh jumped 80 places in the world ranking to rank fifty-eight with 20.82 points, surpassing Al-Sharabati by 60 places.
Al-Sharabati also climbed 10 places in the world ranking for under 87 kg, now ranked twelfth with 62.64 points.
National team player Rama Abu Al-Rub advanced 4 places in the Olympic ranking for over 67 kg, now ranked eighteenth with 67.76 points, and moved up 3 places in the world ranking for under 73 kg to rank tenth with 57.17 points. She dropped 3 places in the world ranking for over 73 kg, now ranked 71st with 10.59 points.
National team player Razan Al-Rawashdeh moved up 7 places in the Olympic ranking for under 67 kg to rank twenty-sixth with 61.01 points, and she dropped 8 places in the world ranking for the same weight to rank forty-fourth with 21.84 points.
Meanwhile, national team player Jafar Al-Dawoud advanced 4 places in the Olympic ranking for under 58 kg to now rank seventeenth with 86.72 points, and dropped 3 places in the world ranking for under 54 kg to rank sixth with 113.20 points.
National team player Mahmoud Youssef dropped six places in the Olympic ranking for under 58 kg to now rank fifty-seventh with 48.72 points, and advanced 4 places in the world ranking for the same weight to rank thirty-fourth with 41.52 points, and he dropped 32 places in the world ranking for under 63 kg to 160th place with 7.20 points.
From her side, national team player Fadia Kharfan advanced 34 places in the world ranking for under 57 kg, now ranked sixteenth place instead of the fiftieth with 71.42 points.
