Khaberni - Al-Wehdat drew 1-1 with their counterpart Esteghlal Tehran on Wednesday evening at the King Abdullah II Stadium in Qweismeh, during the fifth round of Group A in the AFC Champions League 2.
Wajdi Nabhan gave Al-Wehdat the lead in the 19th minute before Mehran Ahmadi equalized for Esteghlal in the 38th minute.
Al-Wehdat rose to 4 points in fourth place, level with Esteghlal in third, who lead on goal difference, while Al-Wasl sealed their advancement to the last 16 with 10 points after drawing 2-2 with Al-Muharraq (7 points in second place).
The draw complicates Al-Wehdat’s hopes of competing for qualification.
