Khaberni - The Lebanese Army Command - Orientation Directorate announced through a statement about liberating a Kuwaiti citizen from the hands of his kidnappers, in a special security operation that involved an exchange of fire.
The statement mentioned that in a precise security operation, the Intelligence Directorate managed on November 5, 2025, to free a Kuwaiti citizen who had been kidnapped four days earlier in the Sadnayel area in the Zahle Governorate.
The operation came after much surveillance and intense security follow-up, and the efforts resulted in the arrest of three individuals involved in the kidnapping, two of whom are Lebanese citizens and the third is Syrian.
One of the detainees attempted to attack the Directorate's personnel by firing at them during the arrest process, which necessitated a return of fire, without recording any injuries among the security forces.
The vehicle used in the crime was seized during the operation, and the confiscated items and detainees were handed over to the competent judiciary to complete the investigations.
