Khaberni - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the Israeli government's announcement of new construction tenders for 356 settlement units in one of the illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank; considering it a consolidation of the occupation and a blatant violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and a clear undermining of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people to self-determination, end the occupation, and establish their sovereign state along the lines of June 4, 1967 with its capital in occupied Jerusalem, emphasizing that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories.

The official spokesperson for the ministry, Fouad Al-Majali, reaffirmed the kingdom's absolute rejection and strong condemnation of the Israeli government's continued settlement plans in the occupied West Bank and its ongoing restrictive measures against Palestinians, and continued violations of international law and international legitimacy resolutions, especially United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334 which condemns all Israeli actions aimed at altering the demographic composition, character, and status of the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem, in addition to the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice which confirmed the illegality of the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land and the nullity of the settlements and annexation actions in the occupied West Bank.

Al-Majali called on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities, and to compel Israel to stop its dangerous escalation and unlawful actions in the occupied West Bank, and to fulfill the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people in establishing their independent state on their national territory; as the only path to achieving a just and comprehensive peace that ensures security and stability in the region.
