Khaberni - Dr. Nidal Al-Qatamin, Minister of Transport, confirmed that the ministry is working on developing an attractive investment environment in the aviation sector, allowing space for new initiatives that contribute to stimulating the national economy and providing quality job opportunities. He pointed out that the development projects of Queen Alia International Airport are a fundamental part of the ministry's strategy to enhance air connectivity between Jordan and the region.
During his meeting with the Chairman of the Board of the International Airport Group and the CEO of the group, in the presence of the Ministry’s Secretary-General Fares Abu Dayyeh, Al-Qatamin discussed ways to develop joint cooperation and enhance investments in the aviation sector, in light of the continuous expansion in passenger and regional freight movement.
The meeting included a review of existing projects and future development plans, alongside discussions on measures that would enhance operational efficiency and improve the travel experience through Queen Alia International Airport and mechanisms to handle the expected increase in passenger numbers and commercial flows in a way that ensures the sustainability and quality of services.
The Chairman of the Board of the International Airport Group praised the level of cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, affirming the group's commitment to implementing development plans focusing on updating facilities and improving operational efficiency, in line with global safety and quality standards and keeping pace with the expansion in aviation movement.
This meeting is part of a series of coordination meetings aimed at enhancing the partnership between the public and private sectors, and ensuring the sustainability of strategic projects in the aviation sector that serve the traveler and support the competitiveness of the Jordanian economy.
