Khaberni - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas received a reply letter from the Crown Prince, Prime Minister in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, which discussed the Kingdom's steadfast and supportive stance towards the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.
The Saudi Crown Prince, in his letter reported by the Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA) on Wednesday, expressed "the Kingdom's full solidarity with the Palestinian people in light of their suffering due to the ongoing escalation and economic pressures."
The Saudi Crown Prince reaffirmed "the Kingdom's steadfast position towards the Palestinian issue and its permanent stand by the Palestinian people to attain their legitimate rights to establish their independent state within the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on international legality decisions and the Arab Peace Initiative."
He also confirmed that "the Kingdom will continue its support for the Palestinian National Authority and enabling it to carry out its responsibilities, and exert efforts to mobilize international support to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people, ensure the urgent entry of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, lift the financial siege, and release the detained Palestinian tax revenues."
He pointed out that the Kingdom, in coordination with international partners, is working to make the political efforts aimed at settling the Palestinian issue by peaceful means successful, recalling the leading role played by the Kingdom in the high-level international conference for the two-state solution chaired by it alongside France, which witnessed an increasing number of countries expressing their intention to recognize the State of Palestine, describing this step as "historic" and reflecting the growing international support for the rights of the Palestinian people.
