Khaberni - A sudden attack by giant Asian wasps led to the death of a father and his son during a family trip at a leisure resort in Laos, Southeast Asia, after a happy holiday turned into an unforgettable tragedy.

The incident occurred when Daniel Owen, aged 47, and his 15-year-old son Cooper were zip-lining over the forests of Green Jungle Park near the Mekong River.

The wasps, which are about 2 inches long and have a quarter-inch stinger, attacked them in a group and stung them more than 100 times, completely covering their bodies with painful red spots.

Despite being quickly transported to the hospital while fully conscious and without immediate signs of an allergic shock, the father and son lost their lives within a few hours.

Dr. Vanomsay Vakan, who treated the victims, described the injuries as severe and painful, noting that this case was "unprecedented" during his twenty years of medical experience, according to "NDTV".

Interestingly, the resort described the incident as a "natural yet unexpected" event and expressed deep condolences to the family of the victims, affirming a comprehensive review of security measures following the incident to ensure the safety of visitors.
