Khaberni - Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum was subjected, on Tuesday, to a sexual harassment incident during her participation in a public event at Zocalo Square in Mexico City.
According to widely circulated video footage, an unidentified man approached her from behind, hugged her inappropriately, attempted to place one of his hands on her chest, and tried to kiss her.
In a moment of shock, Sheinbaum immediately raised her hands and embraced one of the women who were with her, then turned towards the attacker and smiled, perhaps in an attempt to maintain her composure before her security team intervened to remove him.
Local media reported that the president reassured one of her guards by saying, "Don't worry", and smiled again, despite the clear tension in the situation.
