Khaberni - A student at Al'Al Secondary School for Girls in Irbid was admitted to Yarmouk Public Hospital after experiencing shortness of breath from inhaling chlorine fumes during classroom cleaning, according to her father Khalaf Al-Rifai.
Al-Rifai said that the incident occurred yesterday morning, Tuesday, at eight thirty, while five students including his 17-year-old daughter were participating in cleaning a classroom using disinfectants, including chlorine, which caused his daughter to have an allergic reaction and difficulty breathing.
He added that he was informed about the incident at eleven o'clock in the morning, immediately went to the school, and transferred his daughter to the hospital where she still remains under medical supervision to receive treatment until now.
